Overview
With the advent of technology, the ways of policing and surveillance have also improved. These days nearly every mission includes tracking of the devices that have trackers installed in them. These trackers record the GPS coordinates of that device with other crucial information such as timestamps, latitude, longitude, temperature, so on and so forth. VIDIZMO provides the feature of incorporating Timed Data with video evidence in .srt or .vtt format. These video evidence can be watched with the realtime movement of tracking devices on the map. That Time Data can also be extracted to perform detailed analysis at every point in time.
Before you start
- The video should have Timed Data associated with it.
- Only those users will be able to extract the geo-spatial data, with whom the video evidence has been shared. i.e., Users with a Viewer+ role. To know more about it, see: How to Share Media with Specific Users/Groups or External Viewers.
Exporting Geo-Spatial Data
1. From DEM portal Homepage
i. Navigate to the evidence having geo-spatial data.
ii. Click on the evidence to view it.
iii. In the Time Data Pane, available on the right-hand side of the player, you will be able to view the GPS tracking of the vehicle on the map.
iv. Under the map, you will be able to see the export option. Click on it to export the Geo-Spatial data associated with the video evidence in CSV format.
Note: Only video evidence having Timed Data associated with it, will have the Time Date Pane.
2. Navigate to the download folder of your system and open the exported file. It will have all tracking information which was included as Timed Data within the video evidence.
