Introduction
In VIDIZMO, leveraging the capability of a person's face attribute detection empowers users to detect and categorize individuals into predefined groups proficiently. When processing media files or evidence for AI-driven insights, the embedded model seamlessly generates predictions related to age, gender, and race based on the detected faces.
This article will guide you through the essential steps to effectively harness a person's face attribute detection feature, enhancing your ability to glean meaningful insights from your media content.

Prerequisites
Users with Moderator+ roles can generate AI insights via on-demand processing.
Contributors+ can create AI insights using on-demand processing. This is possible if they have access granted through groups managed by users with the Manager+ role.
Ensure that the VIDIZMO app Indexer is activated.
Users with the Manager+ role can activate Face Detection and configure related settings within the Portal.
Face Attribute Insights with Automatic Processing
VIDIZMO allows you to generate AI Insights on your content as uploaded to your Portal. This is done by turning on Automatic Processing in your Portal's App Settings. You can use automatic processing to generate face attribute insights for images and videos uploaded to your Portal automatically.
1. As a Manager+ user, use the Action Menu at the top left to go into Portal Settings.
2. Click Apps, and then select Content Processing to view the available indexing applications.
3. Enable the VIDIZMO Indexer App and use the Gear Icon to enter its Settings.
4. Add Face Detection to the Detection Type(s). You can make your preferred adjustments to the Face Detection settings here if you wish.
5. Select the Facial Attributes predicted when the content undergoes automatic processing.
6. Enable Automatic Processing from 'Off' to 'On.'
7. Click "Save Changes" to save configurations.

8. When utilizing the DEMS Portal, employ the "Upload Evidence" feature to transfer a file to your Portal. For EVCM Portal users, a parallel action can be performed by utilizing the "Add Media" button.
9. Once the uploaded file is processed, click it to open its player page and select the Insights tab.
10. Click the Filter icon under Faces to see the facial attribute predictions made by the AI model.
11. Select the options under each attribute to create a filter criterion that matches your requirements. The detections that match show up under Faces.
12. As a demonstration, let's set a query to identify Black Males within the 20-29 age range. The model shows us the result.
Face Attribute Insights using On-Demand Processing
In addition to automated processing, face attribute insights can be derived from videos and images through on-demand AI processing. This functionality allows the generation of new AI insights for files that have already undergone specific detection activities.
Two methods are available for on-demand processing, the first involving utilizing the on-demand process model and the second generating on-demand AI insights via Custom Settings Upload.
On-demand processing using Process Modal
1. Access the Process Modal for any image or video within your Portal's library by clicking on the Process option in its overflow menu. Alternatively, you can choose the file and select Process from the header menu.
2. Upon opening the Process Modal, choose Generate AI Insights, followed by Face Detection, and specify the attributes you intend to predict.
3. Click the Start button to begin the detection process. The detected person attributes can be viewed on the video player page as described earlier in this document section.
On-demand processing using Custom Settings during Upload
An alternative approach to generating on-demand AI insights is through Custom Settings during uploading. As a Manager+ user, you can activate this option in Upload Settings, accessible under Library in Portal Settings. This enables the Process tab to be active during the media file upload. 1. For DEMS users, the "Custom Settings Upload" feature, replacing the "Upload Evidence" option, can be utilized to upload an image or video and generate on-demand AI insights. EVCM users access the Process Tab and Media Settings when the custom settings upload is enabled on their Portal.
2. Once you have chosen a file for upload, navigate to the Process Tab and opt for "Generate AI Insights with Face Detection.
3. Subsequently, specify the attributes you intend to predict following the selection of Face Detection.
4. Save your settings and initiate the processing by clicking Save and Process. The detected person attributes can be viewed on the video player page as described earlier in this document section.
