Overview

Administration, control, and management of major/minor options in a Portal plays a key role in application management with respect to an organization. The level of granularity with which the functions, settings, rules, and procedures can be defined eases the process of streamlining how an organization uses the system. This can only be achieved by varying role definitions of each user to equip them with different levels of authoritative and contributive responsibilities within the Portal.

Keeping this concept in mind, VIDIZMO allows its users to view access rights and permissions for each user role.

Steps

I. From the Portal’s Homepage:

  1. Click on the navigation menu on the top left of your screen.
  2. Expand Admin tab.
  3. Click on Control Panel.

II. From the Manage Portal navigation pane in Control Panel:

  1.  Select User Roles.
  2.  Select any Role from the available list of options in the drop-down to view their respective access rights and permissions in the Portal.

The grid above shows the final result on this page – this page helps you view all the access rights and permissions of a user role in a Portal. For the sake of demonstration, we have selected User Role as Admin:

  1. These define the features of the application that the user interacts with in VIDIZMO Portal.
  2. These define the actions that can be performed within the scope of a feature in VIDIZMO.

The grid provides an in-depth analysis of the rights and permissions to carry out every action with respect to the feature's scope in the application. For example, a Viewer has the permission to get Personal Reports but does not have the permission to update them.
