Overview

Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure, commonly known as HTTPS, is the secure version of HTTP, the protocol over which data is sent between your browser and the website that you are connected to. In VIDIZMO, the HTTPS Only option allows you to always to use HTTPS protocol which ensures a secure connection where possible to encrypt your Account information or any data exchanged between your browser and VIDIZMO. This option is supported out of the box with subdomain or directory under SaaS model and does not require any additional steps other than checking this box.

To enable VIDIZMO to serve content over HTTPS, an SSL certificate must be enabled on your IIS web server. After that, HTTPS can be configured as follows in your VIDIZMO web application:

Steps

I. From the Portal's Homepage:

1. Click on the navigation menu on top left corner.

2. Expand Admin tab.

3. Click on the Settings tab and you'll be directed to Portal Settings page.

II. On Portal Settings screen:

1. Click on the Branding tab to further expand its options.

2. Then select the Domains tab to open the Domain Selection screen.

3. Enable the checkbox against the "Always Use HTTPS".

4. Select the Update button and everything gets configured to use HTTPS.

As VIDIZMO already has support for security during transmission of On-demand content, when the content is now viewed from the application (and if the Portal is SSL enabled), all the content will be served on HTTPS.

Note: Always Use HTTPS will only work if SSL is enabled on your domain, otherwise, you will receive an error message.
