Overview
In VIDIZMO, you can create chapters manually for your audio and videos by providing the title and timestamps in their settings. However, if you want a more precise or intuitive way of creating chapters, you can utilize VIDIZMO’s Studio Space. It offers you the ability to create chapters during playback (or in real-time) so that you have a preview of the chapters you are creating and allows you to have a better idea of the segmentation of your content. Studio Space also enables you to adjust your created chapters, ensuring more precise and accurate chapter creation.
Note: In DEMS, 'Chapters' are called 'Topics.' They function the same way as Chapters, the only difference being the name. This article explains these functionalities using an EVCM Portal, so the terms 'Chaptering' or 'Chapters' are used here.
Prerequisite
- Ensure that Studio Space is part of your VIDIZMO package.
- Ensure that you have the required permissions to open your Portal content in Studio Space.
Create Chapters in Studio Space
- Select ‘Studio Space’ from the overflow menu of your content to open it in Studio Space.
Note: You can also do this with the ‘Studio Space’ button present on the header and the playback page.
2. In Studio Space, select ‘Chapters’ on the left pane.
4. Click the “Add New” button to add a chapter.
6. Next, provide the title of your chapter in the ‘Chapter Title’ field.
8. Click the “Add new” button to create the chapter at that timestamp.
9. Provide a title for the chapter and adjust the timestamp if you wish. To add more chapters to your content, continue following the steps you've taken so far.
10. You can also alternatively create chapters by providing the start time timestamp manually without moving the seek handle. To do this, simply click the “Add New” button to create a chapter and then provide the title and the start time timestamp accordingly.
11. Click "Publish" to save and publish the content with its created chapters.
12. To see the chapters you’ve created, go to your content’s playback page.
