Any evidence that was used in a judicial proceeding normally is not disposed of until the trial and appeal process has been completed. But once the case has completed, then the relevant evidences must be disposed of safely. So, the misuse of any Evidence can be avoided. VIDIZMO’s Digital Evidence Management System has the option of Evidence Disposition. An authorize user can set the disposition time after which an evidence will automatically be deleted from the recycle bin.
Before you start
- Make sure you log into your portal as a Chief of Police, Deputy Chief or Sergeant to be able to set disposition policy.
Disposition Policy Settings
1. From the Portal's Homepage:
i. Click on the menu icon on the top left-hand corner of the screen to bring up the left navigation pane.
ii. Then click on the down arrow to expand the Admin section.
iii Then click on Portal Settings navigation panel.
2. From the Portal Settings on the left pane:
i. Click on the Library tab to expand its options.
ii. Then click on the Disposal Policy from the Library tab.
iii. Now from here, you can set the Evidence Disposal Policy of the deleted evidences as per the number of days.
3. After updated the disposal policy, your evidences in the Recycle Bin will be deleted after every 30 days.
