From contact information for your staff and users to the financial information and payment details, data usage is protected by law in most parts of the world especially in the UK (GDPR), California (CCPA), and Switzerland. This is to prevent that data from being misused by third parties for fraud, such as identity theft and phishing scams.
Data such as IP address, name, state, email, credit/debit card details contain sensitive information. Protecting all this and other Personally Identifiable Information (PII), in accordance with the Data Protection Act(s), requires businesses to adhere to specific principles. Before you start
- Managers and Administrators of the Portal can turn on GDPR.
Enabling GDPR in VIDIZMO Portal
GDPR functionality can be enabled by following the steps below.
1. From the Portal Homepage;
i. Click on the navigation menu on the top left corner.
ii. Click on the Admin tab.
iii. Click on Portal Settings, to open the portal settings page.
2. From the Portal Settings:
i. Click on the Privacy option, to expand it.
ii. Navigate to the GDPR Compliance, and click to open it
iii. In the GDPR Compliance screen, check the option Enable your Portal to comply with General Data Protection Regulation(GDPR) Policy.
iv. Click on the Update button, to enable GDPR on your portal.
