Email Templates define a standardized body of text to be sent to users to prompt them for various activities and their respective statuses in VIDIZMO.

VIDIZMO allows its users to configure these emails and customize them based on business requirements. To learn more about Email Templates, see Understanding Email Templates.

Before you start

  • Administrators and Managers are allowed to configure Email Templates in a Portal.

Steps to Configure Email Template

1. From the Portal's Homepage:

i. Click on the navigation menu on the top left corner of your screen.

ii. Expand Admin tab.

iii Click on Control Panel.

2. From Control Panel navigation:

i. Click the Email & SMTP tab to expand it.

ii. Select Email Templates.

iii. From the top-right corner of the same screen, click on the Edit Email Templates button.

iv. A pop-up will appear, click the Edit button.

3. From the Email Template screen:

i. Hover over any template to see the edit icon appear at the end of the row and click on it.

4. From the Email Templates screen:

i. The name of the Email Template is displayed here.

ii. This field displays the Subject of the email template which would be exposed to the email receiver. You can modify it as per your requirements.

Note: VIDIZMO allows you to add variables in Subject beside the Body, which helps you create dynamic subject lines for your intended users.

iii. Enter the Description for the email which corresponds to the event/activity regarding which the Email has been generated. This field will not be exposed to the email receivers.

iv. Select Enable to activate email template for use within the application.

v. Rescript the Body of the email to be sent. VIDIZMO provides an advanced editing facility by enabling the user to edit the body of the email using a sophisticated Text Editor, also displaying the look of the Email while they modify it.

Note: Besides text, all email templates contain commonly used terms/parameters (in form of variables that dynamically translate to their values for the receivers) that an organization may want to use in the Body of the email. vi. Click Save button to update your changes.

A notification will appear briefly stating: Email Template Updated Successfully.

Reset Email Notifications to Default

VIDIZMO allows you to reset all email notifications to the default. Follow the steps below in order to reset the email notification to their default text and settings.

1. From the Email Template screen:

i. Navigate to the Reset button and click on it.

ii. A pop-up will appear, click on the Reset button
