VIDIZMO provides you the option of enabling/disabling user generated content in your Portal. Managers and Administrators can give Viewers and Contributors the right to upload content in a Portal. By enabling User Generated Content (UGC) from the General tab, VIDIZMO will automatically convert all Viewers to Contributors. When User Generated Content is disabled, the Contributors will be reverted back to Viewers. This means that the media published by Contributors will be published directly to the Portal, provided that content moderation is disabled on that Portal.

To learn about content moderation, click on How to Enforce Content Moderation.

Here is how you can configure user-generated content (UGC) in a Portal:

1. From the Portal's Homepage

i. Click on the menu icon on the top left-hand corner of the screen to bring up the left navigation pane.

ii. Then click on the down arrow to expand the Admin section.

iii Select the Settings to open the Portal Settings navigation panel.

2. At the Portal Settings pane:

i. Click on the Library tab to expand its options.

ii. Then click on the User Generated Content tab to bring up the screen from where you can define its options. Selecting the Allow User Generated Content (UGC) checkbox changes all Viewers to Contributors in your Account/Portal.

iii. Use this check box to enable UGC.

iv. You can also enable content moderation from this screen. Click on the check box to allow moderation on user-generated content.

Finally, click on the Update button to apply the changes.

A brief notification will be displayed stating: Portal details have been updated successfully.

Log in to your Portal with Viewer credentials and navigate to the User Menu >> My Profile. On the Profile screen, the Assigned Role gets changed to Contributor when UGC is enabled.
