Other than being Search Engine friendly, User-Friendly URLs, as the name suggests, offer a clean way to present your Channel's or Media's web address in order to improve its accessibility by providing an intuitive and meaningful addresses for the non-expert user. These are easy to read, remember and describe the content of the web page.

User-Friendly URLs are also used to conform to the Representational State Transfer (REST) style of software architecture and to ensure individual web resources follow the same, consistent URLs.

By default, VIDIZMO supports User-Friendly URLs and has the ability to reconfigure them back for clients, e.g. SAAS clients, who require dynamically created web addresses.

For example, initially VIDIZMO's dynamically generated and complex URLs looked like the following URL:

http://it.lexcorpinc.com/v/70121/Playback.aspx?id=%2bQKcRwvJ%2br401CLKHW5%2bnw%3d%3d

VIDIZMO now uses rules-based rewriting methods to rewrite requested URLs, so they look like the following, short and User-Friendly URL:

http://it.lexcorpinc.com/v/70121/Vidizmo_Deployment_Models_240p
